What Impressions does
Impressions helps you practice first-date and social conversations with a voice AI partner, receive scorecards, and track your communication progress over time. This policy explains what information we handle to make that work.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address or login identifier from our authentication provider, and an internal user ID.
- Practice session information — your selected scenario and persona, session timestamps, conversation transcripts, scorecards, and insights.
- Voice interaction data — your microphone input is streamed to our AI provider during live practice sessions so the AI can hear and respond. We do not store your raw audio. Only text transcripts of the conversation are saved.
- Usage and entitlement information — credits, demo status, feature usage, and app events.
- Device and diagnostics information — app version, device type, and technical logs.
- Payment information — if paid features are enabled, purchases made through Apple are processed by Apple; we receive purchase status and entitlement information, never your card details.
How we use information
- Provide voice practice sessions.
- Generate scorecards and insights.
- Save your progress across sessions.
- Manage account access, credits, and entitlements.
- Improve app quality, safety, and reliability.
- Respond to support requests.
- Prevent misuse, fraud, or unsafe behavior.
AI processing
Practice conversations are processed by AI service providers to power real-time conversation, transcription, scoring, and feedback. Impressions does not provide therapy, medical advice, legal advice, or guaranteed dating outcomes.
Sharing information
We share information only with service providers that help us operate Impressions:
- Authentication providers.
- Cloud hosting and database providers.
- AI model and transcription providers.
- Payment infrastructure providers, if enabled.
- Analytics, diagnostics, and support tools, if enabled.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your data for third-party advertising.
Data retention
We retain account, session, scorecard, and insight data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Raw session audio is not retained.
Account deletion
You can delete your account and associated data from inside the app (Profile → Delete account), or by contacting us at the address below.
Children
Impressions is for adults 18 and older. It is not intended for children.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can decline microphone access, but live voice practice will not work without it. You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data by contacting us.
